About Us

I would like to thank you for visiting our website, which for many of you will be the first point of contact with my business, Dreamdecks. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little history about myself and how we have evolved.

My name is Allen Roberts and Dreamdecks is a natural progression of my landscaping history. I have always had a passion for developing gardens and with a little encouragement, I decided to change careers in 1997. I felt that if I was to do this professionally, I needed to train properly and so enrolled at one of the UK's premier land based colleges, Brackenhurst, now part of Nottingham Trent University. I totally enjoyed my time there and hold a National Certificate in Horticulture with Landscape Design (with Distinction).

I then joined the company of an award winning garden designer working as team leader. I quickly rose to become the contracts manager, leading 5 teams and working on projects both small and large.

I started my own business as Living Landscapes in 2002 and focussed on designing and building full gardens. I gained accreditation with the Guild of Master Craftsman shortly afterwards and over the years we have been involved in all aspects of building works, from patio and wall construction to turfing, planting, and of course lots of decking!
